IV: a message to my brother
there is hope and ingenuity and it spans the entire globe in every country on earth that ever is or was and even when the despair of modern apathy threatens to entomb you in your own disgrace... it is not everything.
it is true there is an immensity of Extreme Horror and shameless narcissistic self-serving egotism among those who only care about imposing their own orbit upon others
but the world is vast and unknowable... humanity is fathomless and deep and to assume the worst of it is all there is... that's just naive!
it's naive. because it means you don't accept, or rather accept too much, the (im)possibility of circumstances changing. but the winds of fortune, the entropy, and the state of the undefined, ever-changing, or unknowable and undivinable and uncontrollable world beyond what you can touch or see with your eyes...
the power of art is the power to touch the human spirit. to hold and cherish and nurture the magic in the human soul. to soothe, acknowledge, See, and recover from injury...
a damaged human soul may be branded by indelible marks for the rest of its existence forevermore.
but it's untrue that new skin can't grow over it, and that every cell eventually replaces itself (ship of theseus)
you must maintain the trickster's notion of disruption and chaos... and play and joy and wonder. there is magic in the world. there has always been. there will always be
