se-bin's koroshiya
there's one speaker, se-bin, who isn't perfectly bilingual and is a Korean "American" (fantasy analogue) English native and makes what are deliberate moves on my part Japanese / English mistranslations
the proper kanji for koroshiya is ๆฎบใๅฑ which emphasizes the part abt someone who sells a killing service (ๅฑ (-YA) is for shop / seller, like ๅคๆฌๅฑ secondhand bookshop / bookseller)
but se-bin mistakenly uses ๆฎบ่ (kill / -SHA suffix for "someone who does / is" like ่ขซๅฎณ่ (HIGAISHA), a victim ie person who is higai'd; harmed / victimized) so the compound means "someone who kills" but it has a completely neutral use as opposed to the extremely morally charged "killer" or the cinematic thriller sensationalism of "hitman" ("like the ps4 video game!") in English
but force reads it in English as "koroshiya" ie hitman but the phrase "hitman" never appears on the page, but the reader is given everything possible to just look it up
but they have to acknowledge even when looking it up, it's different than the natively and culturally English definition they know of "hitman" or "hired killer"
